Arrested for 10-counts possession of child pornography, 5-counts transmission of material harmful to a minor by electronic device, certain use of computer services prohibited (seduction) and traveling to meet a minor.

What:
Detectives assigned to the Special Victims Unit have arrested a Seminole man for various child porn related charges. The suspect was arrested after he arrived to meet with whom he thought was a “14 year-old male” for the purpose of engaging him in sex.

When:
The suspect was arrested on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.

Where:
The suspect was arrested at an undisclosed location in Pinellas County.

Why/How:
In late 2013 detectives assigned to the Special Victims Unit received a tip regarding an individual who was posting child porn images on Twitter. Detectives say at the time they were unable to substantiate the information.

During the last week of February 2015, detectives received another similar tip. Through their investigation, detectives determined the suspect was posting information on Twitter in which he was referring followers to a Kik account which contained child porn photos.

Detectives say the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Michael Frontz, posted in excess of 80 child porn images.

During their continuing on line investigation, detectives established rapport with Frontz who arranged to meet with “a 14 year-old male” for the purpose of engaging him in sexual activity. Detectives arrested Frontz on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at the established meeting location in Pinellas County.

Frontz was arrested for 10-counts possession of child pornography, 5-counts possession of material harmful to a minor by electronic device, certain use of computer services prohibited (seduction) and traveling to meet a minor. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

Through various investigative techniques detectives were able to determine that Frontz was the alleged suspect in the original tip received in late 2013.

The investigation continues.
