What:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit have identified and arrested a grand theft shoplifting suspect who stole a television from a St. Petersburg Walmart.

When:
Detectives arrested the suspect on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. The theft occurred on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 between 3:04 a.m. and 3:20 a.m.  

Where:
The theft occurred at the Walmart located at 10237 Bay Pines Blvd. in St. Petersburg.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit have identified and arrested a grand theft shoplifting suspect who stole a television from a St. Petersburg Walmart.

Through various investigative techniques detectives were able to identify the suspect as 29-year-old Ronald Lee Hartley.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2015, detectives met with Hartley in the Pinellas County Jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges from the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Hartley admitted to the allegations. Detectives charged Hartley with one count felony retail theft. He remains in the Pinellas County Jail at this time. 

The investigation continues.
