What:
Deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man.

When:
The man has been missing since approximately 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

Where:
The man was last seen at his home located at 2462 Brazilia Drive, Apartment #4, in Clearwater.

Why/How:
Deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man from Clearwater.

According to deputies, 76-year-old Joseph Fernandez was last seen at his home at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Joseph’s family members left the residence and when they returned they found a letter from Joseph stating that he had left town and was going on vacation.

Concerned family members reported that Joseph suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and he takes medication for various medical issues.  

Joseph has been entered as missing into the FCIC/NCIC data base.

Joseph is described as a white male, 5’9” tall, with gray/white straight hair and brown eyes. There is no clothing description for Joseph at this time.  

Deputies believe that Joseph is driving a 1999 Saturn SL, 4-door, dark blue in color with Florida tag 296XDV.

Anyone with information that may assist deputies in locating Joseph Fernandez is urged to call local law enforcement.
