Sponsoring Organizations held a career fair at which law enforcement professionals were available to discuss career goals and career opportunities with individual Explorers. There also were demonstrations, exhibits and seminars, as well as many recreational and entertainment events.

The conference featured competitions sponsored by the nation’s top law enforcement organizations, providing realistic and practical experiences to prepare Explorers for the types of situations they would have to face in law enforcement careers. Team events they were able to participate in included: Officer down- First aid, Crisis Negotiation, Burglary in Progress and Traffic Stops.

Explorer Post 900 was represented by two competition teams. Team A was comprised of Explorers Chase Fails, Joanna Burzo, Cassandra Bonsall, Quentin Cummings, David McMullen. Team B was comprised of Explorers Caressa Cook, Isabella Wolcott, Justin Musick and Christian Binning.

Individual competitions they were able to participate in, included: Air-Pistol Competition, Drill Competition, Bike Policing, Non-Emergency Vehicle Operations Course and a Pistol Competition.

After working hard throughout the week, the Explorers were also able to experience events off campus that they may not have been afforded the opportunity to without the Explorer’s Program.
