What:
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will host firearm training for ROTC Cadets attending the National Forensic Science Technology Center- Biometric Forensic Internship.

When:
The firearms training will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

Where:
The training will occur at the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Firing Range Facility located at 3410 118th Avenue North, in Pinellas Park.

Why/How:
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will host firearm training for ROTC Cadets attending the National Forensic Science Technology Center- Biometric Forensic Internship.

Twelve ROTC Cadets from the internship program will visit the Sheriff's Office firing range at 9:30 a.m. on July 25, 2017. Cadets will receive instruction from Sheriff's Office firearm instructors on the use of firearms and firearm safety. The cadets will also have an opportunity to shoot the same firearms that deputies utilize.

This is the fourth year the Sheriff's Office has partnered with the National Forensic Science Technology Center to provide hands on training to their ROTC Cadet interns.

The NFSTC Biometric Forensic Internship is a two-week intensive training program that will assist cadets in their military careers. For more information on the NFSTC and their internship program please visit: https://www.nfstc.org/
