What:
Pinellas detectives have arrested a man for exposing himself to women at an Oldsmar shopping center. More victims are likely.  

When:
The crimes occurred on December 8, 2017 and February 22, 2018.

The suspect was arrested on April 16, 2018.

Where:
The incidents occurred at the Marshall’s Store located at 3146 Tampa Road and Bealls Store located at 3140 Tampa Road in Oldsmar.

Why/How:
Pinellas detectives have arrested a man for exposing himself to women at an Oldsmar shopping center. More victims are likely. 

According to detectives, on December 8, 2017, deputies were called to the Marshall’s Store located at 3146 Tampa Road in Oldsmar, for a report of man in the store exposing himself. Detectives say the suspect was reportedly following a female customer around the store, exposing his penis and masturbating. When confronted by store employees the man left the store.

Detectives obtained surveillance video of the incident and through various investigative techniques identified the suspect, 25 year-old Antonio Fernandez. Detectives searched for Fernandez but they were unable to locate him.

On February 22, 2018, deputies were called to the Bealls located at 3140 Tampa Road in Oldsmar, for a report of a man exposing himself in the store. Detectives say a man fitting Fernandez’s description was reportedly following two female customers and was seen by a store employee exposing his penis. The employee confronted the man and he fled.

On Monday, April 16, 2018, detectives located Fernandez at a residence located at 201 Countryside Key, Oldsmar. When detectives interviewed Fernandez he admitted to the allegations.

Detectives arrested Fernandez on two warrants for Failure to Appear- Exposure of Sexual Organs. One of the warrants was related to an Exposure of Sexual Organs charge that was investigated by the Largo Police Department on February 7, 2018. 

Fernandez was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
