Sherman Spencer was located around 4:45 p.m., approximately 2.5 miles away from where he was last seen. Spencer was uninjured and has been returned to the nursing home.

Description: White male, approximately 5’09” tall, 240 lbs., blonde/grey hair, is clean shaven, wears glasses, and was last seen wearing black pants, black t-shirt with Star Trek pins, black hooded sweatshirt and black shoes.

What:
Deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing endangered man in unincorporated St. Petersburg.

When:
The man was last seen at about 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

Where:
The man was reported missing from Laurelwood Nursing Home located at 3127 57th Avenue North in unincorporated St. Petersburg.

Why/How:
Deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing endangered man in unincorporated St. Petersburg.

According to deputies, 59-year-old Sherman Spencer was last seen at about 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Laurelwood Nursing Home located at 3127 57th Avenue North, St Petersburg. It is believed that Spencer left the location on foot. It is unknown which direction Spencer was traveling.

Deputies say that Spencer suffers from multiple medical conditions and is considered endangered.

Spencer has been entered as missing endangered into the FCIC/NCIC database.

Spencer is described as a white male, approximately 5’09” tall, 240 lbs., blonde/grey hair, is clean shaven, wears glasses, and was last seen wearing black pants, black t-shirt with Star Trek pins, black hooded sweatshirt and black shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact law enforcement immediately.
