Where:

Why/How:
Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a fatal vehicle vs pedestrian crash in Seminole.

According to investigators, on November 14th, 2019 at approximately 5:55 p.m., 59-year-old Robin Fisher-Jordan was driving her 2003 Dodge Durango south on Seminole Boulevard, in the median lane, approaching 104th Avenue North.

The pedestrian, a 61-year-old female, was standing in the median lane of southbound Seminole Boulevard, waiting for northbound traffic to clear, before she crossed Seminole Boulevard from west to east, in front of the Winn Dixie parking lot, located at 10202 Seminole Boulevard.

Investigators say, due to low-light, inclement weather and heavy traffic, Fisher-Jordan was unable to see the female pedestrian standing in the traffic lane. Fisher-Jordan’s vehicle struck the pedestrian and she was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.

Deputies say the female pedestrian was not in a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash.

Investigators do not believe speed nor impairment were factors in the crash.

Next of kin has not been notified.

The investigation continues.
