Captain Mike Leiner has been with the sheriff’s office since 1994 and serves as the Commander of the Youth Education and Administrative Services Division in the Patrol Operations Bureau.  The division consists of the Youth Education Section, Field Training Unit, Reserve Deputy Unit, Crisis Intervention Team/Critical Incident Stress Management Team, and is responsible for liaising with the south county contract cities of Belleair Beach, Belleair Bluffs, Belleair Shores, Indian Rocks Beach, Madeira Beach, North Redington Beach, Redington Beach, Seminole, South Pasadena, and St. Pete Beach. The Youth Education Section consists of the School Resource Deputy Unit, Youth Services Unit, and School Crossing Guard Unit and facilitates the Police Explorer Post 900, Graffiti Response, Teen Driving, and Juvenile Diversion Programs.
