The Sexual Predator and Offender Tracking Unit (SPOT) was created in 2000 to address the growing number of sexual predators and sexual offenders in Pinellas County. The SPOT Unit handles this function countywide. The mission of the SPOT Unit is to be proactive and aggressive in regards to monitoring, tracking and enforcing Florida State Statutes that relate to registered sexual predators, sexual offenders and career offenders. The S.P.O.T.
