The 16th Annual Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office “Ride & Run With The Stars” is a holiday fundraiser which helps families who need help over the holidays. There is something for everyone as events include a 25 Mile Bike Ride, a 10K Family Ride, a 5K Certified Race, a climbing wall, food, a Kids Bike Rodeo, silent auction and more. Santa Clause arrives by Sheriff’s helicopter at 10:00 a.m. to listen to the children’s wish lists. The event is Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Ft. DeSoto Park in south Pinellas County. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. and events start at 8:00 a.m. Registrations before December 5th are $20, and $25 on the day of the “Ride”. Proceeds benefit the Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project which provides food, clothing and toys to children and families over the holidays and throughout the year. |
