What:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft shoplifting suspect who stole jewelry from a St. Petersburg Walmart.

When:
The theft occurred on Thursday April 9, 2015 between 6:32 AM and 6:52 AM.   

Where:
The theft occurred at the Walmart located at 10237 Bay Pines Boulevard in St. Petersburg.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft shoplifting suspect who stole jewelry  from a St. Petersburg Walmart store.

According to detectives, the suspect is observed entering the store and proceeding to the jewelry area.

Once inside, he waited until no one was in the area and pried the case open taking $1552.00 in jewelry.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, between 25-35 years old and is 5’8 tall with short black hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a black or blue t-shirt with an unknown yellow/gold design, jeans and black or blue sneakers. 

The vehicle is described as a 2002-2006 four door sedan, silver or white in color, possibly a Honda with after-market ground effects.

The same suspect appears to be involved in an additional grand theft which occurred at the Walmart in Largo Police Department’s jurisdiction, 2677 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater. This incident occurred on Thursday April 9, 2015 at 6:25 PM and is similar in nature.

The investigation continues.
