Detectives have arrested a Clearwater man in connection to a robbery at the Circle K store located 2501 McMullen Booth Road that occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at approximately 1:23 a.m.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 30-year-old Joseph C. Walker.

Detectives met with Walker on Tuesday, August 11,2015 and he admitted to the allegations.

Walker was arrested and charged with one count of robbery. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

The investigation continues.

Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a robbery suspect in unincorporated Clearwater.

When: 
The robbery occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at approximately 1:23 a.m.

Where:
The robbery occurred at the Circle K store located at 2501 McMullen Booth Road in unincorporated Clearwater.

How/Why:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a robbery suspect in unincorporated Clearwater.

According to detectives, the suspect entered the Circle K store located at 2501 McMullen Booth Road on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at approximately 1:23 a.m.

Once inside the store, the suspect approached the front counter with his hands behind his back, implied he had a weapon and demanded the clerk give him money.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the area on foot, heading south.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’9” tall, heavy build with a brown beard. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with large white lettering that possibly reads “I go for hours,” gray shorts, black shoes and a light blue ball cap.
