Why/How:
At about 4:30 p.m. on December 31, 2018, deputies were dispatched to a private residence located at 3844 Berkshire Court in Palm Harbor, in reference to a drowning.

Deputies were informed by paramedics that 68-year-old Terry Chambers had fallen into the pool, while in his wheelchair, and was unresponsive. Paramedics pronounced Chambers deceased on-scene, after multiple life-saving efforts were attempted.

Chambers’ wife and caretaker were at the residence at the time of the incident, but were unable to rescue Chambers from the pool.

The incident does not appear suspicious.

The investigation continues.
