Dairon Molina (Suspect - Arrested) DOB: 12/23/2001 Address: 2843 Thaxton Drive #34, Palm Harbor.
PINELLAS COUNTY – Detectives assigned to the Threat Management Unit have arrested 22-year-old Dairon Molina on one count of felony Animal Cruelty.
Detectives began their investigation after learning that an 11-month-old labrador mix puppy named Rose sustained a broken right rear femur and the injury did not appear accidental.
Detectives state that on August 30, 2024, Molina brought Rose to an emergency vet with a broken leg. After examination, it was determined Rose’s injury was serious and may require amputation of the leg. Through their investigation, detectives learned that Molina was the sole caretaker of Rose at the time of the injury and that Rose’s injury would have had to occur from unjustifiable force.
On September 9, 2024, detectives met with Molina, who provided inconsistent statements about how Rose’s injury occurred.
Molina surrendered ownership of Rose.
Molina was arrested and charged with one count of Cruelty to Animals and was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
The investigation continues.
