Detectives Investigate a fire at Sun Village Mobile Home Park in Largo.

Why/How:
On October 27, 2014 at approximately 7:00AM deputies responded to a structure fire with Largo Fire Rescue. The homeowner, Merle Jacobs, was home at the time the fire started and was not injured. The fire began in a guest bedroom and was put out by the fire department upon their arrival. 

Christopher Walker’s property, Lot 79, was also damaged due to the heat generated by the fire. The heat caused the paint to melt on two parked vehicles and melted the metal siding along the trailer.

Detectives state the fire appears accidental and may have started from an electrical malfunction.

The investigation continues.
