The victim is a 12-year-old female who is known to the suspect. Per Florida Statute 119.071(2)(d)1,  no further details will be release that would tend to identify the victim.

What:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a man for Lewd and Lascivious Molestation and Conduct after he inappropriately touched a 12-year-old girl.

When:
The suspect was arrested on November 13, 2014.

The investigation began on October 21, 2014.

Where:
The suspect was arrested following an interview at the Sheriff’s Administration Building at 10750 Ulmerton Road in Largo.

Why/How:
Detectives began their investigation on October 21, 2014 after the victim revealed the crime to her mother. The mother in turn contacted the Sheriff’s Office.

Through their investigation detectives determined that on multiple occasions between February 2014 and September 2014 the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Harley Davidson Beard, touched the victim in an inappropriate manner by putting his hands inside her shirt and underwear.

It was further determined that Beard had also kissed the girl on at least two occasions against her will.

On November 13, 2014, Beard agreed to come to the Sheriff’s Administration Building for an interview and admitted to the crime. He was arrested for one-count Lewd and Lascivious Molestation and one-count Lewd and Lascivious Conduct; and transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
