What:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two armed robbery suspects from unincorporated Clearwater.  

When:
The armed robbery occurred on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at approximately 2:15 a.m.

Where:
The armed robbery occurred at the Rodeway Inn Hotel located at 28596 US Highway 19 N, Room# 215 in unincorporated Clearwater.

Why/How:
Pinellas County detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in located two armed robbery suspects who robbed a victim in his hotel room.

According to detectives, at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 the two suspects attempted to enter Room# 215 of the Rodeway Inn Hotel located at 28596 US Highway 19 North in unincorporated Clearwater.

The suspects first attempted to use a key to enter the room but when the door wouldn’t open they kicked it in.

Once inside the room, the two suspects battered the victim and produced what appeared to be a handgun. The two suspects made threatening statements and demanded money and the victim’s car keys. The suspects then fled the scene in a newer model Chevrolet Equinox.

Suspect #1 is described as a white male, mid 20’s to early 30’s, large build with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts and black and white tennis shoes.

Suspect#2 is described as light-skinned black male, mid  20’s to early 30’s, large build. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, jean shorts and a black ball cap.

The investigation continues.
