Deputies have advised that 88-year-old Gerard Dowd of Largo, for whom a Silver Alert was issued earlier today, has been found safe by the St. Petersburg Police Department. Mr. Dowd was in the process of being reunited with his family.

A Silver Alert has been issued for 88-year-old Gerard Dowd of Largo. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement immediately.

He was last seen at the Cornerstone Bank located at 12933 Walsingham Road in Largo.

Deputies say he was last seen at 1:02 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015.  

How/Why:  
Deputies have issued a Silver Alert for 88-year-old Gerard Dowd of Largo. He was last seen at the Cornerstone Bank located at 12933 Walsingham Road in Largo at approximately 1:02 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015.

Mr. Dowd is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, 250 lbs. He was last seeing wearing an aqua colored shirt, blue jeans and a white hat with a shark on the front.

He was last seen driving a 2006 Chevy Malibu, blue in color with Florida tag F644FE.

Mr. Dowd is considered endangered as he suffers from dementia.

Mr. Dowd has been entered into NCIC/FCIC and a Silver Alert has been issued. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact their local law enforcement immediately.
