Detectives assigned to the Special Victims Unit have arrested a Largo man for Possession of Child Pornography.

According to detectives, their investigation began on August 12, 2015 after receiving information that the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Joseph Gallo, was in possession of child pornography.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to recover 10 images depicting child pornography from Gallo’s computer.

Gallo admitted to detectives that he intentionally downloaded the images of children involved in sexual acts.

Detectives arrested Gallo and charged him with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Gallo was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
