What:
Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a deputy involved crash.

When:
The crash occurred at about 6:41 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015.

Where:
The crash occurred on 54th Avenue and 62nd Street in Kenneth City.

Why/How:
According to investigators, Deputy Lance Chambers was traveling west on 54th Avenue approaching 62nd Street. David Speegle, driver of the Nissan Sentra, was traveling east on 54th Avenue and was in the left turn lane to go north on 62nd Street.

According to investigators, as the deputy entered the intersection, Speegle made the left turn and the deputy's vehicle struck the passenger side front end of the Nissan.

Deputy Chambers was transported by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

David Speegle and his passenger, 59-year-old Cheryl Speegle, were also transported by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation continues.
