What:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft suspect in Palm Harbor. 

When: 
The theft occurred on Thursday, January 7, 2016.   

Where:
The theft occurred in the parking lot of the Seabreeze Plaza Shopping Center located at 30535 U.S. Highway 19 North in Palm Harbor.

How/Why:
Detectives assigned to the Burglary/Pawn Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a grand theft suspect in Palm Harbor. 

According to detectives, Thursday, January 7, 2016 the victim met the suspect in the parking lot of the Seabreeze Plaza Shopping Center located at 30535 U.S. Highway 19 North in Palm Harbor.

The victim posted her wedding bands on Craigslist for sale and agreed to meet the suspect in the shopping center to look at the rings.

After inspecting the rings, the suspect agreed to purchase them and provided Amscot money orders as a form of payment. After taking possession of the rings, the suspect left the area.

The victim contacted law enforcement after verifying with Amscot that the money orders used in the transaction were not valid.

The suspect is described as a white male, possibly mid to late 30’s, muscular build, bald head, facial hair (goatee), approximately 5’07” -5’09” tall. He was last seen wearing a black graphic t-shirt with a thick gold chain around his neck. The suspect identified himself as “Tony.”

The suspect was last seen driving an older model Chrysler 200, white in color.
