What:
In an effort to reduce DUI related injuries, deputies will conduct a Wolf Pack operation in Pinellas County over the weekend.

Where:
Deputies and officers will monitor traffic throughout Pinellas County. They will be on the lookout for impaired drivers.

When:
The Wolf Pack operation will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 through Saturday, March 19, 2016. 

How/Why:
Pinellas County Deputies in conjunction with the Clearwater Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, Gulfport Police Department, Indian Shores Police Department, Largo Police Department, St. Petersburg Police Department, and Tarpon Springs Police Department will conduct a DUI Wolf Pack operation. They will maintain a proactive profile over the weekend on the highly traveled roadways of Pinellas County.

The operation will begin Friday night and continue into early Saturday morning.

This operation is part of the Pinellas County Sheriff's on-going commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving.  The goal of the Wolf Pack is to educate citizens and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.), Remove Intoxicated Drivers USA Inc. (RID), and the Suncoast Safety Council will be providing food to law enforcement during the operation.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will be conducting Wolf Packs continuously throughout the year.
