Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Belleair Bluffs man for Possession of Child Pornography.

When:
The suspect was arrested at about 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016.

Where:
The suspect was arrested at his residence located at 2194 Lanai Avenue in Belleair Bluffs.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Belleair Bluffs man for Possession of Child Pornography.

According to detectives, their investigation began in March 2016 after receiving information that the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Darrell Fletcher, was in possession of child pornography.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to recover more than 10 images depicting child pornography from electronic devices belonging to Fletcher.

Detectives arrested Fletcher and charged him with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Fletcher was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

The investigation continues.
