What:
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is participating in Operation Pill Drop, a Florida Sheriffs Association collaboration, to provide citizens safe, convenient, and responsible means of drug disposal.

When:
Week four of Operation Pill Drop will commence Monday, November 7, 2016 to Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 6:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. There will not be a weekend location for this week nor will there be a collection on Friday, November 11, 2016 in observance of the holiday.

Where:

The locations for this week are as follows:

North – Walgreens – 1477 Main Street, Dunedin

South – Walgreens – 13705 Park Boulevard, Seminole

How/Why:

The majority of prescription drug abusers report in surveys they got their drugs from friends' and families’ medicine cabinets, drawers, and bedside tables, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Throughout the next few weeks, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is participating in several prescription drug take-back events to provide citizens safe, convenient, and responsible means of drug disposal.

During Operation Pill Drop, a Florida Sheriffs Association collaboration, the Sheriff's Office is setting up prescription drug drop-off stations at different locations each week in addition to those available year round.

Week four of Operation Pill Drop will commence Monday, November 7, 2016 to Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 6:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. There will not be a weekend location for this week nor will there be a collection on Friday, November 11, 2016 in observance of the holiday.
