According to investigators, 68-year-old Dwight Wood was driving his 2000 Toyota 4-Runner southbound in the median lane of Seminole Boulevard approaching the intersection of 53rd Avenue North.

A pedestrian identified as 23-year-old Kala Gombos, stepped into the roadway and was crossing Seminole Boulevard traveling eastbound.
