Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a St. Petersburg man for Possession of Child Pornography.

When:
The suspect was arrested at about 2:52 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Where:
The suspect was arrested at his residence, 5015 Seminole Boulevard, Lot #111, St. Petersburg.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a St. Petersburg man for Possession of Child Pornography.

According to detectives, their investigation began in August 2017, after receiving information that the suspect, identified as 64-year-old Lester Schwark, was in possession of child pornography.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to recover numerous images depicting child pornography from Schwark’s cellular telephone.

Detectives arrested Schwark and charged him with 11 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Schwark was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
