The suspect was arrested at about 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

Where:
The suspect was arrested at the Pinellas County Public Safety Complex.

Why/How: 
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a Largo man for Possession of Child Pornography.

According to detectives, their investigation began in June 25, 2018, after receiving information that the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Gregory Richard Scott was in possession of child pornography.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to recover numerous images depicting child pornography from the home computer and USB drive.

Detectives arrested Scott and charged him with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Scott was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

The investigation continues.
