Gerald Hyde has been located. He was found by St. Petersburg Police in the 3700 block of 49th Street North in St. Petersburg.

Hyde was medically evaluated and reunited with his wife.

What:
A Silver Alert has been issued for 88-year-old Gerald Hyde, of Clearwater. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement immediately.

When:
The man was reported missing from 13632 Lake Point Drive, in unincorporated Clearwater, Florida at about 11:42 a.m., on Friday, June 14, 2019.

Why/How:
Deputies have issued a Silver Alert for 88-year-old Gerald Hyde, of Clearwater.

Hyde was with his wife in the Feather Sound community to visit a friend. Hyde, who suffers with from Alzheimer’s disease, indicated he did not wish to go inside. The wife briefly left Hyde seated in the passenger seat with the vehicle running while she stepped inside to speak to her friend. When she returned to check on her husband, Hyde was missing along with their vehicle. Hyde was reported missing from 13632 Lake Point Drive in unincorporated Clearwater, at about 11:42 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2019.

Hyde is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” tall, 195 lbs., blue eyes, with white hair. Hyde was last seen wearing a blue plaid shirt with navy blue shorts, white socks and white tennis shoes.

Deputies say Hyde is likely driving a white 2017 Nissan Rogue SUV with Florida tag # 049-MYW.

Hyde suffers from memory issues. Hyde has been entered into FCIC/NCIC as a missing endangered adult. A Silver Alert has been issued.

Anyone with information on Hyde’s whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement immediately.
