Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a fatal single motorcycle crash in Treasure Island.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:11 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019.

Where:
The crash occurred at 10601 Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island.

How/Why:
Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a fatal single motorcycle crash in Treasure Island. 

According to investigators, 62-year-old Randy Hill was leaving the parking lot of Ricky T’s Bar and Grille Restaurant, located at 10601 Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island, on his 2014 Harley Davidson.

Witnesses say Hill sped off erratically from the parking lot, heading eastbound on 106^th Avenue toward Milliken Court, when he lost control of the motorcycle. Hill was ejected from the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet.

Investigators say Hill sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

It is unknown at this time if impairment was a factor in the crash.

Next of kin has been notified.
