Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit have arrested 52-year-old Robbie Dinkins.

Investigators say, through various investigative techniques, they were able to identify Robbie Dinkins as the suspect. Detectives located Dinkins and the Hyundai Sonata at the Wawa gas station at Belcher Road and Gulf to Bay Boulevard at approximately 10:20 a.m.

Dinkins was transported to the Sheriff’s Administration Building located at 10750 Ulmerton Road in Largo where he was interviewed by detectives. Dinkins stated during the interview that he and the victim were arguing over alleged infidelity.  Dinkins stated the argument became physical at which time he stabbed the victim multiple times.  Dinkins admitted to the crime.

Dinkins was transported to the Pinellas County Jail where he is charged with Second Degree Murder.

The investigation continues.

Detectives began the homicide investigation on Sunday, November 22, 2020.

The incident occurred at 1707 Azalea Court in Oldsmar.

Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in Oldsmar.

According to investigators, deputies were dispatched to 1707 Azalea Court in Oldsmar to make contact with 47-year-old Lynn Dinkins. Deputies located Dinkins inside the residence and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives are seeking to question the victim’s husband, 52-year-old Robbie Dinkins, as a person of interest in the case. Detectives have been unable to locate Robbie.

The victim’s gray Hyundai Sonata with Florida license plate number PWRT14 is missing and detectives are attempting to locate it. The trunk has a star sticker on the left side next to the word “Sonata.” He is described as a bald black male standing 5’7” tall and weighing approximately 230 pounds.
