"Ride & Run With The Stars" Event

PINELLAS COUNTY - Since 1993, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office “Ride And Run With The Stars” event has given hope to children and families in need. We have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to meet the needs of thousands of Pinellas County children during the holidays.

“Ride and Run With The Stars” offers cycling, running and walking events, including a certified 5K road race at Ft. DeSoto Park. There is also a silent auction, food, giveaways, children’s crafts, Sheriff’s Office displays, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The event is on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Fort DeSoto Park in south Pinellas County. All activities will be staged at North Beach near shelters 1 and 2. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. with events beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration is $55 for the 5K Chipped Race and $50 for the 25 Mile Bike Ride, the 10K Family Bike Ride and 1 Mile Family Fun Run. Participants receive a bag with a short-sleeved logo t-shirt, swag and lunch.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project. Sheriff’s Office members will shop for the items on wish lists submitted by approved applicants.
