Kevin Kelley (Inmate – Deceased)
DOB: 11/26/1970
Charges: One Count of Driving Under the Influence, One Count of Possession of Marijuana, and One Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

PINELLAS COUNTY – Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are investigating the death of 53-year-old inmate Kevin Kelley.

Detectives say Kelley was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on May 31, 2024, after being arrested by the St. Petersburg Police Department for One Count of Driving Under the Influence, One Count of Possession of Marijuana, and One Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Detectives learned on June 1, 2024; Kelley was transported to a local hospital for medical reasons. Kelley was pronounced deceased at the hospital on June 1, 20 24, at approximately 05:39 a.m.

At this point in the investigation, detectives have found no evidence that Kelley was involved in any physical altercations or sustained any injuries while incarcerated at the jail.

Kelley’s next of kin has been notified.

The investigation continues.
