Detectives received a tip from a citizen and have identified the suspect as 32-year-old Danijel Boskovic. Boskovic was arrested by the St. Petersburg Police Department on June 19, 2024, for unrelated charges.

Detectives have charged Boskovic with Robbery by Sudden Snatching, and he remains at the Pinellas County Jail. When detectives interviewed Boskovic, he admitted to stealing the victim’s cellphone and trading it for Fentanyl.

PINELLAS COUNTY - Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a robbery.

On June 16, 2024, at approximately 7:35 p.m., deputies responded to the area of 44th Avenue North and 31st Street North in Lealman regarding a robbery. Deputies made contact with the victim and learned he has a medical condition that makes it difficult for him to speak and he is also confined to a wheelchair. The victim advised that while he was at this intersection, an unidentified male approached him and took his cell phone out of a case that was attached to a lanyard around his neck, and then fled on a bicycle.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40 years old, riding a bike. He was wearing a black hat and carrying a backpack.
